To prepare for the Knowledge Test, please utilize the following resources
Follow these steps to successfully complete the written test
To apply for a driving permit, you will need your original birth certificate with a raised seal or your passport, your social security card, and proof of having completed the written test and vision test.
While taking the test, if you don't know the answer to a question, skip it instead of guessing and risking a wrong answer. Accumulating 11 wrong answers will result in an automatic failure. Answering 40 out of the 50 questions correctly will result in an automatic pass. You can always return to the skipped questions if needed.

Translators are available at the testing desk. If English is not your first language, you can always ask for assistance at the MVC Testing Desk. Written tests are offered in the following languages: English, Arabic, Chinese (Mandarin), French, Spanish, Korean, Polish, Portuguese, Russian, Japanese, Hindi, Albanian, and Turkish.
